MUDVAYNE's 'Lost And Found' Enters BILLBOARD Chart At No. 2!
April 20, 2005MUDVAYNE's "Lost and Found" sold 151,559 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 2 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart.
The follow-up to 2002's gold-certified "The End of All Things to Come", "Lost and Found" was recorded at The Plant studio in Sausalito, California with producer Dave Fortman (former UGLY KID JOE guitarist),who has previously worked with SUPERJOINT RITUAL and EVANESCENCE, among others. Drummer Matt McDonough recently told Launch Radio Networks that, although it was difficult to get started, this record was ultimately easier to make than its predecessor. "I think the initial process of starting the record was probably the hardest part about it," he said. "Once it built up its own inertia and we got some space behind us, it wasn't so intimidating. And the recording of it actually was the easiest part about it for me. I mean, everyone was really comfortable, it was a really cool thing."
MUDVAYNE were recently confirmed as the "mystery band" on the main stage of Ozzfest. The tour kicks off on July 15 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
